First Time :ShinoHina:

Shino leaned against the tree as he waited for his teammates. His bugs flew in small circles around him, as happy as he was, though his stoic facial expression gave nothing away. His bugs were zooming around, making hearts in the air. Shino swiped his hand through it, breaking the pattern as his bugs swirled back inside his skin.

"Shino-kun?" came a soft voice. Shino turned around. "Good evening, Hinata," he said. "Are you ready for the meeting?" he asked. Hinata nodded. "Do you know why Kurenai-sensei wanted us for a meeting?" Kiba asked, suddenly appearing behind Hinata. She jumped.

"K-k-kiba-kun!" she stuttered. "You shouldn't do that..." Shino murmured, looking at Hinata, who was shaking slightly as she pet Akamaru. Shino felt his bugs start buszzing around inside of him. They seemed to be saying "tell her, tell her" over and over again. Shino shook his head at them.

Their sensei, Kurenai, arrived right after Kiba, telling the team "no missions for the next week-Tsunade wanted us to take a break." Kiba yelled triumphantly and ran off, yelling "c'mon, Akamaru!" leaving Hinata alone with Shino after Kurenai had left.

"Hinata," Shino started, deep voice slightly shaking. "Would you like to go out for dinner?" Hinata nodded, and said "Ichiraku Ramen?" Shino nodded, but inside he was yelling "no, no, no!!! Not where that bastard goes with his girlfriend!" But he followed Hinata to Ichiraku and they sat down, ordering two bowls of miso ramen.

They were talking while eating, Shino telling Hinata some stories of his missions alone with Kiba, making Hinata laugh. They had just finished and were still talking when Naruto came bursting in, laughing and pulling his girlfriend, Sakura, by the hand. Naruto yelled for two bowls of chicken ramen as Hinata stared at him.

Naruto had pulled Sakura in for a kiss when Hinata burst into silent tears and ran out of the ramen stand. Shino stood up, quietly thanked Ichiraku, paid, and followed Hinata out into the night, the moon shining brightly as he followed her along the deserted streets into a training forest where Hinata sat on a log, face in hands, tears dripping on the ground.

Shino sat next to her, putting his arm around the crying girl. It had been years since Naruto had returned from killing Sasuke and Itachi, and he was now infactuated with Sakura. "H-h-he doesn't like me!" Hinata cried. "He never will!" She turned, sobbing into Shino's forest-green jacket.

"You deserve much better than him," Shino said in a soothing voice. "You could do so much better than him." Hinata lifted her tear-stained face to Shino. "You... you think so?" she asked, her voice shaking. Shino nodded, lifting his hands to her chin, and drawing his lips to hers.

It was the first time he had kissed anyone he liked as much as Hinata, and for Hinata, it was the first time she ahd kissed anyone, period. He eased his lips over hers, settling very gently between the two slabs of soft pink flesh. As he pulled away her face shone a light pink, and he said "I know so."
